I am excited to be creating the role of Rev. Mitties in Gary Marlon Gere’s play “Recovery” which will have four performances at the AMT Theatre NYC as part of this summer’s Broadway Bound Theatre Festival.
Set at Ground Zero on Christmas Eve 2001, it explores the physical, spiritual and psychological toll the work of recovery demanded of those labored in the wreakage of the World Trade Center.
The play is directed by Dennis Oliveira with Johnny Cannizzaro, playing Leo Camp – a FDNY Lieutenant hell-bent on recovering the remains of his brother, a NYPD officer. My fellow cast members – Michael Bertolini, Clara Bishop, George S Copeland and Denise Lute – have inspired me with their passion as well as their incredible talent. I am thrilled to share the stage with them.
Tickets are available here. Performances are Thursday 8/13 at 2:00pm and 8:00pm, Friday 8/14 at 2:00pm and Saturday 8/15 at 5:00pm. AEA members and industry professionals: This is an AEA approved showcase.
The theater is located at 354 45th Street.
